Case has some splitting on the edges too.
So I recently picked up a case with a bunch of Hotwheels “Redlines” in it. A bunch of them are painted over by a child or missing a part or two. All the wheels move freely though. Are they still worth anything? Maybe a couple bucks?
The unpainted ones (with the exception of the Mustang’s wheels). Mustang Stocker, Alive ‘55, Dune Daddy, and Sand Drifter.
All painted over. Prowler, and everything else doesn’t have a name.
Painted again, car in back just a cheap Hong Kong car that was inside case. Mercedes-Benz C-111, and Alive ‘55.
Full disclosure: While I have a fairly large diecast collection, I picked these up at an auction with the hope of selling them on Craigslist or Ebay. Might keep the Mustang though. So are they still worth anything? Any insight would be appreciated.

Not a lot, they’d be full resto-jobs for the most part. But I’m no expert.

For the Redlines, I usually use this guideline when I’m pricing out my collection:
http://www.nchwa.com/redlines.html
Seems to be pretty much on the mark. The quality of the cars is really what makes them worth anything. Dings and bad wheels generally lower the price quickly. It also seems like someone enjoyed their childhood toys very much by coloring on some of those... which is bad when reselling, but it at least has an interesting history.
Super Chrome Alive ‘55 maybe worth up to $20? If the Mustang Stocker didn’t have its wheels painted it would probably be hitting close to $15 or more. Same with the Dune Daddy and Sand Drifter.
I mean it’s some money, but they could be worth a lot more. The case if original might be worth the most. $40 if in good condition.
You can always check EBay and see what prices are going for.

Thanks for the info, I paid 15 for the whole lot so I was just hoping it was worth that much.

The red car is “Monte Carlo Stocker”, the black/silver one is “A-OK”, and the red striped van is “Super Van”.
